Strategic Opportunities for Growth Only the most casual observer of the information technologies industry would fail to see the changes that are currently creating a new paradigm for success and profitability among small technology providers. In our opinion, as traditional revenue 'pies' shrink and shift, more and more companies will either be forced to merge with other companies, or will be required to find strategic partners. In either case, consolidation of services and markets will likely become a new reality for the traditional 'value added reseller'. As an example of finding synergy among related companies in the computer industry, there are times when Stateside has been forced to decline certain business opportunities because our support resources are simply not adept with the products involved. It is safe to assume that this statement would apply to other IT companies similar to ours. In addition, there are segments within our company (and perhaps yours) that might make more sense to subcontract rather than manage internally. In either case, we are convinced that consolidation is becoming a key ingredient for building a company's profits, customer base and market share in the future.
